The 6th International Basketball Summer Camp in Luxembourg brought together young basketball players and coaches from more than 10 countries for a memorable week of training, competition, friendship and personal growth.From the official opening to the final awards, the seven-day camp was filled with hard work, learning and plenty of unforgettable moments both on and off the court.
A week dedicated to improvement
With five hours of basketball training every day, campers had the opportunity to focus on the fundamentals, develop their skills and challenge themselves throughout the week.Every drill, pass and shot was part of the journey. Through countless repetitions, intense practices and competitive games, the players pushed their limits while learning the importance of discipline, teamwork and constant improvement.
But the camp was about much more than basketball.The campers had the opportunity to learn from international basketball stars like Jovana Pasic and Milda Sauliute.
One of the highlights of the week was the visit of Anne Simon, captain of the Luxembourg national team and a professional basketball player competing in Italy’s top league and the EuroCup. A former NCAA standout and accomplished international player, Simon shared her experiences with the campers, answered their questions and spoke about the dedication and passion required to succeed in basketball. Her visit gave the young athletes an opportunity to meet and learn from one of Luxembourg’s leading basketball players and provided inspiration for the next generation.
Basketball beyond the court
The camp also gave players the chance to experience Luxembourg and build friendships away from the basketball court. From exploring the city to table tennis matches, watching games together and simply spending time as one basketball family, the campers shared experiences that were just as important as their time in the gym. These moments helped create a strong sense of community among players and coaches from different backgrounds and countries.
International basketball with no borders
This year’s camp welcomed players and coaches from more than 10 countries, including Lithuania, Belgium, England, Jersey, Austria, Germany, Latvia, Ukraine, Montenegro, Hungary and Romania. The international character of the camp once again demonstrated the power of basketball to bring people together. Despite different languages, cultures and backgrounds, the players shared the same passion for the game.
A memorable finish
The final day brought the week to an exciting conclusion, with intense action, competitive 3×3 games, teamwork and plenty of smiles.The final whistle marked the end of seven days of training and competition, but also celebrated the progress made by the campers throughout the week.
The awards ceremony provided a fitting conclusion to a camp built around hard work, growth and enjoyment. While the trophies and awards marked the end of the event, the friendships and memories created during the week will last much longer.
