Monika Brosovszky Boriga; VIBBALL Ambassador

'Moni' has been the most well-known and well-recognized player in Romanian Basketball in the last 30 years. She has accomplished a lot as a professional basketball player since she has played in several European Championships with the Romanian Senior National team. She had 270 selections while also showing her high level in Romanian and other European club teams. Nowadays, she is working as a coach and she has started a basketball academy in Arad, Romania. We are extremely fortunate that she has become one of our VIBBALL ambassadors and joined our VIBBALL family.

What age did you start to play?

I was 8 years old when I started to play basketball.

What did it bring to your life?

First of all, basketball brought into my life a lot of Joy and satisfaction!

What were your best experiences in your career?

My best experiences in my career was my “all Champion title’, but the first and last title are unforgettable.

What have you learned from your failures?

From my failures I learned never to give up! ("those who win never give up;those who give up never win!")....

What is your connection to VIBBALL Echternach?

My connection to VIBBALL Echternach is with founder and coach Ildiko Vass! We were teammates for the național team of Romania and the club team Sepsi Szentgyorgy and I’m proud to be part of the project!

What would you like to pass on the next generation?

I would like to pass on and share from my experiences and my knowledge.

How do you think about our slogan Play to Learn, Learn to Play?

It's a really nice and right slogan!

When can players and coaches meet you at one of the VIBBALL activities?

As soon as possible, I can’t wait for it! Let's stay healthy!

What advice would you give to the young VIBBALL players?

To have fun, enjoy to play and learn, every day to surpass yourself and work hard for your dreams!

Have you been in Luxembourg?

No, I’ve never been in Luxemburg, but I heard It's very beautiful!
