Inspirational Weekend for Vibball Echternach

Last weekend Luxembourg hosted Romania for one of the FIBA Eurobasket 2025 Pre-qualifier games. The visitors won this exciting game with 70-73. Many spectators were present at the Coque and it created an amazing atmosphere in the gym.

We hope that our VIBBALL players and parents have enjoyed the game by attending or watching the live-stream we shared with them.

The Luxembourgish Federation asked our Head Coach/President Ildikó Vass to guide the Romanian team. It was a great moment for her to meet with the staff, because she played a lot of years for the Romanian National team.

Carmen Tocala, Vice-president of FIBA Europe and President of the Romanian Basketball Federation, was a special guest and it was an honour to have her in Luxembourg. In this way she could see the development and potential of Luxembourgish basketball. She shared her ideas and knowledge with us about Youth Developement in Luxembourg and we are thankful for that.

All together this weekend was very inspirational for VIBBALL to further develop and continue in the right direction.
